The album has a theme of what I describe as a 'Tex-Mex' flavour. I have wanted to do this type of album for some time and now the opportunity has arrived. There is a little touch of Marty Robbins, Roy Rogers, Slim Whitman, Eddy Arnold and Michael Martin Murphy all thrown in to, what we hope is, a very entertaining 14 song album. I have been able to include a few yodel songs, plus some of the old favourite songs that I grew up on in my early musical career. There is a duet with the lovely Judy Anne Barnes and along with the talented musicians we hired for this project, I know you will enjoy the variety of songs featuring steel guitar, piano, fiddle, Spanish guitar, trumpets, accordion, harmonica . . etc. . .etc. My special thanks to Bob Howe and Michael Vidale for working so hard to make this new album sound so good. My thanks also to Jim and Gaynor Bryant from Rotation Records (Aust) Pty Ltd for making this new project possible.
